What data we collect
No cookies, no statistics, no advertising, no pixels. The site has no forms and the pages record no data.
The technical provider that delivers the site (Cloudflare) receives, like any web server, the IP address and the technical data of the request and may process them in its own technical logs, to deliver the service and protect it from attacks.
If you email us, we process your address, your name and the content of the message.
Why we process it, and on which legal basis
Replying to the messages you send us by email: pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in replying to those who write to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Security of the site: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Acting on requests about your data and not contacting you again if you object: compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
We do not take decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.
Who receives the data
Only to the technical providers of the services we use: Zoho for email and Cloudflare for hosting the site.
The provider has not yet confirmed where email is stored at Zoho or any transfers: we will state them here as soon as they are available. You can ask us for information at any time.
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site as a processor, under its data processing agreement. Any transfers of data to the United States rely on Cloudflare's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023) and, failing that, on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
We do not sell the data or pass it to anyone.
For how long we keep it
Emails in the CiaoRuta mailbox: 12 months from the last contact. In this mailbox deletion is carried out manually by our team.
Requests about your data are answered within one month.
Technical hosting data: the hosting provider processes the IP address and the minimum technical data of each request (date and time, page requested, browser type) in its security logs, in its data centres in the United States and Europe, only to deliver the pages and protect the site, for a limited period set by its security policies. CiaoRuta switches on no statistics and no visitor logs of its own.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, and object to processing. We reply within one month.
You can lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es), the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it) or the authority of the country where you live or work.
